What it Takes to Join the Presidential Security Group – Requirements, Qualifications and Benefits


The Presidential Security Group or PSG is an agency assigned to provide security to both the President and Vice President of the Philippines as well as their immediate families. Presently, the Presidential Security Group is composed of both civilian agents and those from the Armed Forces. Aside from the main duties of the PSG to protect the heads of the state and their families, they also support other government agencies such as assisting the PNP and AFP to implement anti-organized crime undertakings.

They ensure that the transportation and other facilities used by the President and Vice President is functioning properly and securely.

The agency is consisting of various organic units including the following:

  • Presidential guards
  • Presidential escorts
  • Headquarters and Headquarters Service Batallion
  • K9 unit/Special Reaction Unit
  • Security Batallion
  • Presidential Intelligence Company
  • PSG Station Hospital
  • PSG Dental Dispensary
  • PSG Training School

Presidential Security Group Qualifications:

  • Male or Female
  • A bonafide Filipino citizen
  • College graduate, has TESDA certificate or with minimum 72 units
  • 18 to 26 years, mentally and physically fit
  • Female height is 5’6” and 5’8” for male
  • With excellent pleasing personality

Presidential Security Group Requirements

  • Resume
  • 2 pcs. 2×2 photo with white background
  • Photocopy of NSO birth certificate
  • 1 pc. Full body picture with white background
